StarrPrep privacy information
StarrPrep stores the account and career information you choose to provide: email, profile details, experiences, skills, career wins, stories, resumes, job applications, contacts, and follow-ups. We use it to provide your career workspace and the tools you request.
Signing in
You can sign in to the website with Google or use email and password. Google sign-in shares your basic profile and email address with StarrPrep to create and authenticate your account. It does not give us access to your Gmail, Google Drive, or contacts. The website uses authentication cookies to keep you signed in.
Website analytics
We use self-hosted Umami analytics to understand page visits, referring pages, browser language, and screen size. Our analytics proxy removes query strings and excludes account identities, page titles, and career content. Request metadata, including IP addresses, may be processed by our infrastructure.
Voice and AI
Recording starts only when you ask and allow microphone access. Audio is sent to StarrPrep’s transcription service. Temporary audio files are removed after processing. The transcript returns for your review. Reviewed text is sent to our configured AI service when you request coaching. AI drafts can contain mistakes; review them before saving or sharing. Removing names is a review aid, not a guarantee of anonymity.
Mobile storage and permissions
The mobile app stores sign-in sessions and device drafts in encrypted platform storage. The browser preview uses session storage. Optional reminders are scheduled on your device. Exports are shared only when you request them. StarrPrep does not include advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
Control your records
You can edit or delete saved wins and other career records. Delete your account and associated records from the active database. Previously exported files remain under your control outside the service.
